Mochikko Ichi (Mochi Festival)
Traditional and Popular Mochi
Kitaakita has a rich tradition of producing mochi, Japanese rice cakes. A huge selection of handmande mochi and pickled vegetables are available for purchase at this festival including the very populare butter mochi unique to the region.

・Please take the shuttle bus as parking is extremely limited.
・The shuttle bus leaves from Citizen Plaza to the event every hour on the hour.
